Account and access

I don't get the verification email

Check your spam folder. If it's not there, ask for another one with Resend email after signing up or with Resend verification email on the sign-in screen. The link expires after 24 hours.

It won't let me sign in

Check that you've verified your email. If you've entered the wrong password several times in a row, access is blocked for a while: wait a little and try again.

How do I change the language?

In Settings, in the user menu. See Settings.

Ranges and editor

I can't paint a table

Tables are locked by default. Click the table's lock 🔒 to unlock it.

I left the editor and my changes aren't there

Changes to the tables are only saved when you click Save changes, in the editor's side panel. The editor warns you before leaving if there are unsaved changes. Legends, on the other hand, are saved automatically.

Can I use my ranges from the previous version?

Yes, with Import old XML. See Import and export.

Practice

In practice a table shows an “invalid” stack

Each table's title is its effective stack (12, 2-6, +20 or -5), and some old sets have tables without it. Open the set in the editor: it will ask you for the stack of those tables. Save the ranges and load the set again in practice. If the set belongs to your school, the school will have to fix it.

My ELO doesn't change

Only Hand quiz answers count; hidden mode doesn't change your ELO. See ELO and ranks.

When will I get an ELO rank?

When you complete the minimum number of valid answers. Until then you'll appear as “Unranked”, and on your profile you'll see how much you have left.

Does ELO reset?

Yes, every January 1st a new season starts and everyone goes back to the starting ELO. Your previous seasons and your all-time best ELO stay on your profile.

Plans and payments

What happens when the trial period ends?

If you don't subscribe, your account moves to the Free plan: nothing is deleted and you keep using the editor, practice and the viewer with the free plan's limits (see Plans).

Do I need to pay to be a student of a school?

No. With the Free plan you can view and practice everything your school shares with you.

Can I cancel whenever I want?

Yes, from Manage subscription. You keep the plan until the end of the period you've already paid for.
