Documentation Getting started

Welcome to Burn EV

Here you'll find everything you need to get the most out of Burn EV: how to build your ranges, train them and share them with your school.

Note

The documentation is under construction: we'll keep completing each section. If you have a question that isn't covered here, open a support ticket.

What Burn EV is

Burn EV is a tool for studying poker ranges. The work is split into four sections:

  • Editor: you build your ranges by painting the hands of each table with your own legends (actions and colors).
  • Practice: you train those ranges by answering random hands or rebuilding tables, with statistics and an ELO system.
  • Viewer: you look up your tables without any risk of changing them, analyze them, compare them and export them to PNG or PDF.
  • School: coaches share their ranges with their students and decide what each one can do with them.

Everything is saved to your account, so you can carry on from any computer or from your phone.

How to use this documentation

  • The index on the left gathers all the pages by section. Use the search box above it to filter them by title; Enter opens the first result.
  • On wide screens, the On this page column on the right takes you to each part of the page you're reading.
  • At the end of each page you have links to the previous and next page, in case you prefer to read it from start to finish.

If it's your first time, start with Create an account and continue with the Introduction to the editor.
